Morgan joins the firm after spending two years as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Thomas W. Brothers in the Sixth Circuit Court of Davidson County. In his time as a clerk, Morgan gained extensive familiarity with the day-to-day procedure of state trial courts, witnessed dozens of jury and non-jury trials, and aided the Court by analyzing every motion before the Court on a weekly basis. This experience helped hone his writing skills and gives him unique insight into what judges and juries find persuasive.
Morgan attended the University of Mississippi Law School, where he graduated summa cum laude in May 2023. He served as staff editor and associate case editor for the Mississippi Law Journal and received the Outstanding Student Award for the highest grade in both advanced torts and insurance law. While in law school, Morgan and his wife welcomed a son to the family and moved to Nashville in January of 2023, where he completed his law degree while working as an intern with the Nashville District Attorney General’s office. In this role, he conducted numerous preliminary hearings on the felony jail docket that were all successfully bound over. While with the DAG, he developed a passion for speaking before the Court along with the diligent preparation and measured patience necessary for effective witness examination.
Prior to law school, Morgan attended Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi, his hometown. He received a Bachelor of Arts in classical studies, developing a love for Greek, Latin, and classical literature that continues to this day. After he completed his undergraduate studies, Morgan spent a decade living and working in Los Angeles, California while he pursued his passion for music and the arts. Having worked as a teacher, an estimator, a salesman, a project manager, a construction worker, a production assistant, and countless roles in between, Morgan strives to bring his wide array of life experiences to bear in every facet of his practice.
Morgan’s practice focuses on general civil litigation. He stands ready and willing to take on any issue that besets the firm’s existing clients as well as new clients who wish to schedule a consultation to discuss any legal issue they face. Morgan is licensed to practice in all State Courts in Tennessee and is currently seeking admission to the U.S. District Courts of Tennessee.
